Age suitability
Sport Signal is rated 13+ and our Terms of Use require you to be at least 13. This page explains why, and what we do about it.
Why 13+
Sport Signal is a live conversation about football. People talk to each other in public match rooms, and in private crews they invite their mates to. That is the point of the product, and it is also why it isn't built for younger children: a room full of strangers reacting to a game in real time is not a moderated children's space, however well we police it.
The 13 floor is stated in the Terms of Use, and agreeing to it is a required, unticked checkbox at sign-in. Nobody can post, rate or tip without ticking it.
What we do about safety
- Every message is filtered as it is written. Banned words are replaced before anyone sees them.
- Anything can be reported - press and hold a message to report it, or block the person outright. Blocking is immediate and needs no approval from us.
- We act within 24 hours on reports, removing content and removing the people who posted it. Automated filtering and AI-assisted moderation run first; a human makes the call on anything serious.
- Photos are scanned against known child sexual abuse material before anyone can see them. Suspected material is blocked automatically and reported to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation.
What is public and what isn't
Photos can only be shared inside a crew - a private room you were invited to - never in a public match room. Real names, email addresses and phone numbers are never shown to other users, whatever a person puts in their profile. People appear under a display name and handle they choose.
There is no gambling
Tipping and predictions are free. There is no wagering, no entry fee, no prize pool and no account balance - nothing can be bought and nothing can be won. Signal·AI's win-probability figure is an analytical model read shown for interest, and is never betting advice.
What we don't do
We don't track anyone across other apps or websites, we don't use advertising networks, and we never sell personal information. Sponsored placements inside the app are marked. The detail is in the Privacy policy.
If something goes wrong
Report it in the app, or email support@sportsignal.live and a person will read it. If a child is at risk, contact your local police; in Australia, report to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation. More detail on both is on our support page.
